8 Steps

Welcome to ASU!
There are so many things to look forward to at ASU. From personal growth and a vibrant community to student support and academic success. ASU’s Associate Vice President for Enrollment & Admissions, April Crabtree, has a warm welcome message for you.
Receiving your offer:
1
Pay your deposit
Use your My ASU account to check your application status, find priority tasks, and track your I-20 status.
You can pay your deposit via My ASU. The earlier you pay your deposit, the better!
2
Meet the conditions of your offer
For students who have received a conditional offer, you’ll need to meet those conditions as mentioned in your offer letter — for instance, submitting new English scores. Once you’ve met the conditions, you can accept your offer!
3
Check scholarship awards
Scholarships are awarded 10 business days after you receive your offer. Scholarship amounts will vary depending on the study level and eligibility requirements. You can see your scholarship amounts on My ASU.
Accepting your offer:
1
Apply for on-campus housing
The sooner you apply for housing, the better your chances of securing a place! You don’t need to have your visa before you can reserve housing.
There are many different options depending on your campus. First-year undergraduate students are expected to live on campus, with the option of living off campus in your second year. Graduate students may also apply for on-campus housing, though it is not guaranteed.
Apply for housing via the ASU Housing Portal or view off-campus housing options. The deadline for self-selection of Housing Assignment is May 1 for the Fall intake. The priority application deadline for housing is May 15 for the Fall semester, and November 15 for the Spring semester.
2
Complete Math placement test
All first-time undergraduate students will need to complete a Math placement exam. You can find this task in My ASU under “Priority Tasks.”
3
Register for orientation sessions
Before you can register for your classes, undergraduate students need to register for the Academic Orientation session, which you can do via My ASU.
Transfer and graduate students need to book an advising session with their Grad Advisor — you can find the name, email and phone number for your academic advisor in the Academic Support Team box on My ASU.
4
Request I-20 and provide relevant financial documents
Once you provide ASU with your financial documents proving you can fund your studies as shown on the Financial Guarantee, ASU will provide you with a SEVIS number and an I-20 that you can use to begin your visa process.
5
Check priority tasks on My ASU
Make sure to check My ASU to keep on track and complete any priority tasks on time.
Good to know
Start the I-20 processes as soon as possible
Now’s the time to submit your financial documents to prove you can fund your studies as per ASU’s Financial Guarantee form so you can request your I-20.
